You can do anything, but not everything. This is something I’ve recently discovered! It sounds so simple but It’s taken a while to sink in for me. Really sink in.
This weekend I hosted my THIRD Pilates Retreat Day. This is a whole day dedicated to you. To relaxation. To pilates and exercise. To socialising. To tea breaks. I first came up with the idea when I was getting super stressed out and just wished I could head off for a day or so completely to myself to free the stress and do the things I love- pilates, exercise, swim, read books, and drink tea. I figured I wasn’t alone in this thinking and thus the creation of Freshly Centered Retreat Days!
This weekend I hosted my very first Pilates Retreat Day. A day to getaway, relax, focus, and practise Pilates. Something I have always wanted to attend myself but have never found, so I created my own! I feel so lucky to call this my “work”; the whole process from the planning & organisation, writing routines, creating playlists, and finally the hosting & teaching on the day was so much fun. We used the perfect location of the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, which meant we could spend the whole day there using the facilities in between classes. Each class had a special theme to follow a journey for the day.
It’s Sunday! Often our day to take things a little easier, enjoy the rest day and have less scheduled plans. Your body still needs some essential ingredients for creating a healthy body and a healthy mind! Their really easy to achieve and should be your focus every single day!
Welcome to Freshly Centered!
Finally! Here is the start of my website, bringing you fitness, health and wellbeing information with a pilates twist. I hope to bring together all aspects that I am involved in to deliver some interesting reads such as:
- Fitness advice, training plans and motivation
- Pilates programmes
- Injury prevention and treatment tips with the latest evidence and research
This is all very new to me and it has been an exciting project so far for 2014! I am very excited to finally launch the site today! Please bear with me on technical problems and we may be slow in getting going as I learn the ropes of running an online site… But for now please watch this space!
